The colours of Fall

As much as I love summer and  I’m head - over- heels when the time comes for leaving the big city life and going to the beach for the summer ,I’m also mesmerized by the beauty of Nature when transformation begins and slowly , gently but surely, it is getting ready for its winter ‘rest’.

I have always loved the first rain of September , the orange- copper colour of the leaves, the first cyclamen in the garden ,the chilly evenings when you definitely need something warm to put on your shoulders over your summer dress, the smell of the wet soil after the rain.

Today’s post is about the colours of the season, the feeling of change in the air and the beauty of it all when you are ready to welcome it  with all your senses and mind.
Welcome to Fall then and to the abundance of colours it brings along .

Pine cones, pomegranates, dried fruit, wheat, cinnamon sticks, wood, vegetables ,fruit ...............

An Anniversary and a giveaway!

It has already been a year since I first started this blog and this lovely, happy journey in blogland.
Starting my own blog had been in my ‘wish to’ list for some years and when I finally made this little dream come true my satisfaction and pleasure were  great .
During this one year, I have tried to give you dear readers, some useful ideas about little , easy crafts  and home decoration that I believe has helped you create your own colourful and happy makes J.
I have also shared with you pictures of my ‘world’ , my thoughts and dreams .
I hope you have enjoyed reading what I share with you and that we will keep each other company in the future ,  for quite a long time .
To celebrate this first year anniversary, I have made a little present to offer  to one lucky reader.  If you want to give yourself the chance to win it , leave here a comment and an e-mail address (if you don’t have a blog of your own).  You can leave only one comment each  and I will draw one reader.  The deadline is the 20th of September 2015. Good luck to all!!
Of course, I know you are waiting to see what I have made for you.
I will first give you some hints before the TA-DAH moment!.
Do you want to have a peek?
During my summer holidays, sitting in the shade of a favourite corner of my little garden I made these little items!

I love the colours . Pink is my favourite, as you know, and I adore cute , little critters and objects  like these ones . I never cease making or buying them and I’m happy whenever I see them. The little bird house and the little bird are made of wood and painted by me. The rest of the items are made of fabric.

I also used some tiny bunches of fresh lavender which smells delicious and some paper butterflies and here you are , .......TA-DAH!!

A  wreath for all seasons , for romantic hearts …. J.
It  can be hung in a bedroom, hall, even kitchen and add a soft,  tender touch to your decoration!! I hope you like it!!
Apart from the wreath, I have also got another little something for you : a handmade soap , heart shaped, with a delicate smell of rose, made from vegetable glycerin and olive oil!
                                                            It is sweet, isn’t it?
I will be glad to send your present wherever you are in the world .
I’m looking forward to your comments and I will be back soon with a post about the lovely, ‘little’ summer, which is over but it is still in my heart and memories.

Enjoy the week dear readers and hope to hear from you soon!
My love to you all.
